anitaHope Gallery is under the new leadership of Anita Trezvant, a Portsmouth, Rhode Island Native. Anita is an established artist and promoter who co-founded Artisans By The Bay which has produced numerous sales and exhibition events in the East Bay and Newport Area. She has been a tremendous mentor of original art and fine crafts in the Southern New England area. Anita is a mixed medium artist and has displayed her expertise mostly in the genre of original mixed media figurative sculpture, (aka. art dolls) as a resident artist of the original Hope Gallery in Bristol, RI, (2005 – 2007) among many other venues.

Anita has used her artistic and personal skills to cultivate and enhance the growth of art within the local community. Her art work depicts her belief, that man is capable of tracing history and transforming it into contemporary thoughts, ideas and feelings. Anita’s art is based upon myths, legends, ancient peoples and honesty.

It is this credibility and talent that has attracted 24 other local and regional artists to participate at Hope Gallery and that she will bring to the quest of completing it's mission. The mission of the gallery is to promote diversity and individuality with a distinctive selection of numerous artistic mediums.
